Estate Planning Maintenance Plan

Experienced Houston Estate Planning Lawyers Serving Clients in Harris County and Throughout the Greater Houston Area

Creating an effective estate plan that will provide you and your family with years of peace of mind starts with discussing your needs with an experienced and thorough estate planning attorney. Once an attorney creates an estate plan for your family, it is common for situations to later arise requiring your attorney to review the plan and ensure that it continues to meet your needs, goals and current situation. In fact, at McCulloch & Miller, PLLC, we recommend that our clients have one of our estate planning lawyers review their estate plans annually or whenever there are significant changes in their life. This is one of the reasons we developed the Estate Planning Maintenance Plan.

Is Your Estate Plan Keeping Up with You?

An estate plan is intended to provide you and your family with a certain amount of certainty in what we can all agree is an uncertain world. The idea behind an estate plan is to create documents that will serve your interests regardless of what the future holds. However, it is common-and almost expected-that over time, the circumstances of your life will change.

When important life events come up, they may require changes to your estate plan. For example, you should always have an attorney review your estate plan after any of the following life events:

  • Bringing a child into the home (birth or adoption);
  • Divorce or remarriage;
  • Changes in your health;
  • Changes in your financial situation;
  • Changes in business ownership;
  • Death of a beneficiary; or
  • Changes to your distribution plan, for example, if you want to add charitable giving.

Additionally, it is wise to review your estate plan annually to ensure that it keeps up with any changes to the law. By keeping up with your estate plan, you can rest assured, knowing that whatever the future holds, you and your family will have an effective plan in place.

What Is McCulloch & Miller's Estate Planning Maintenance Plan?

At McCulloch & Miller, PLLC, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to ensure that your estate plan is keeping up with you, which is why we came up with the Estate Planning Maintenance Program.

The McCulloch & Miller Estate Planning Maintenance Program was designed for our existing clients in hopes of offering a cost-effective way for them to make sure their estate plan continues to serve them as it did when it was first created.

For the low annual cost of $500 (for individuals) or $750 (for couples), you will receive the following:

  • An annual consultation for an estate plan review;
  • Access to exclusive estate planning maintenance workshops;
  • Unlimited changes to durable powers of attorney;
  • Unlimited changes to medical powers of attorney; and
  • Timely updates on all relevant changes to the law that may impact your estate plan.

In addition, in the event a change in circumstances necessitates revisions to your existing estate planning documents or the creation of new documents, you will receive a 20 percent discount on all new estate plan documents. We also offer a 10 percent discount for those with referrals from friends or family members.

Client Reviews
★★★★★
"In late February, 2020, I needed to file from out of state for successor Letters Testamentary in Harris County for my father's estate. The attorney I used, Ryan Cook, returned my call promptly, gave me the option of hourly or flat rate fee, explained what would be involved, then let his paralegal and other staff handle most of the contact with me. I worked with Crystal. She was very responsive and tech savvy. As the pandemic hit and communication everywhere was getting difficult and the probate court had limited access, these women continued to stay in touch and help me through the process, with us all working remotely. We were all experiencing a new way of being in the world and all three of them handled it with grace, humanity and efficiency." L.B.
